“Through the arts we can we can make change and inspire! “Tim Davis, owner/ Director
International Visions- the Gallery, LLC was founded in January 1997 by Timothy A. Davis, owner, artist, and curator. He, with the help of artist Betty Bates Murchison and others, envisioned a fine arts gallery in Washington that filled a void for exhibiting artworks by people of color nationally and internationally. Davis believed it was important to provide a forum in which Washingtonians could witness different cultures interacting in a contemporary art setting. Our goal from the beginning was to promote change, awareness, and advocacy in the arts through organized themed art exhibitions, publications, and document artists' narratives that educate, speak, and draw attention to issues that are on the forefront in international and national societies. The gallery closed its doors in 2019.
We continue to stand in solidarity with those demanding change on human and civil rights issues and are leading national conversations about discrimination, systemic racism, racial justice, education, immigration, voting rights, climate change, mass incarceration, housing, gun laws, and more.
